We love feedback from our customers!

"Everything was amazing from start to finish at Dave Solon Kia. I was treated with respect and dignity from the moment I walked in the door. My salesman's name was Jason Logan and I have never had an experience at a car dealership go as smoothly as he made this one. I am always leary about buying a new car from a dealership, but I will most definitely return to Dave Solon Kia, time and time again!!" -C Fegan

Kia Track’ster Birth Chronicled on Video

The Kia Track’ster was arguably the most interesting new vehicle at the Chicago Auto Show this year. Based on the Kia Soul, this compact racer has undeniable good looks.

The Track’ster took nine months to design, but the end product is evidence of the designers efforts. This video walks through every step of the process which takes quite a few people’s input into account.

Concept designs are some of the hardest work car companies will put in because each piece needs to be designed and manufactured by hand. Then, once all the parts are made, each piece is checked over to make sure it perfectly fits the specifications it was built to. Once the car is assembled it is gone over with a fine-toothed comb to check for errors. The process is gruelling and puts any company’s commitment to the test.

" Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I was very grateful for the excellent service I recieved at Dave Solon. Caleb was especially helpful. I had recently been to a few other dealerships in the area, and honestly this dealership surpassed them all in customer service. Caleb worked very hard to get me a deal that matched my needs. I was literally in and out with a new car in less time than it takes me to get ready in the morning. Great job guys!!" -Tessa L.

Kia releases first photo of its Track'ster concept car

Kia-trackster-concept-rear-wide-623x389

Having shown off a sketch last week, Kia has now released the first photo of its Track’ster concept car. The model will bow later this week at the Chicago auto show, but is not slated for series production.

The prior teaser sketch showed that the three-door Track’ster had a sloping roofline, big showy wheels, and an aggressive scallop in the front fender. This rear shot shows the car has a squat stance, with flared fenders leading into a greenhouse that tapers at the top. Twin round exhaust tips, bracket-shaped taillights, and vents in the bumper further dress up the Track’sters rear. The car is loosely based on the production Kia Soul hatchback.

Kia says the Track’ster, which is the brainchild of the company’s California design studio, is a performance-themed variant shows “what the Soul could someday be.” Lead designer Tom Kearns echoed those sentiments, saying the Track’ster has a “rebellious, individual, and urban character.”

The company says the Track’ster concept would be powered by a gasoline engine with about 247 hp on tap. However, there are no plans to put a model like this into series production. The concept car will be unveiled publicly later this week in Chicago.

Just in case you missed it...

Another great review from one of our loyal customers!

" Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I actually enjoyed my experience at Dave Solon. They were very courteous and helpful. I went through the typical negotiation process, which I, strangly enough, enjoy. I am still waiting for my license plates from my trade-in and a spare set of keys from the vehicle I purchased. I was told they would be mailed to me in Pueblo. Other than that, a very comfortable experience." -Mark G.

Kia readies male fantasy Super Bowl ad with supermodel

50050-hi-kia-drive-the-dream

A babe, a band and a brawler — Kia hopes those three elements will make its Super Bowl ad stand out from the rest.

The automaker has enlisted supermodel Adriana Lima, rockers Mötley Crüe and mixed martial arts fighter Chuck Liddell for its 60-second ad for the Kia Optima Limited. The idea is one man's fondest dream.

"As we're dreaming at night, our true desires come out," says Michael Sprague, Kia Motors America head of marketing and communications.

This fellow envisions driving an Optima around a track filled with manly fantasies such as a skimpily-clad Lima, Liddell fighting and Mötley Crüe onstage doing Kickstart My Heart. Sprague calls it "the ultimate man's dream" yet is quick to add "but it's not offensive to women, either."

Kia wants buzz during the Feb. 5 game, but also before and after, says David Angelo, creative chief at Kia ad agency David & Goliath.

The ad will launch in movie theaters Feb. 3, and Kia also will air 15-second teaser ads on TV beforehand. Kia also will leverage the Twitter and Facebook followings of the ad's stars.

Midsize family sedans such as Optima can come off as boring and staid, says Angelo, but this ad showcases the Kia's edgier design and its performance, as well as Kia's ambition to be a top-tier brand. "This was a great opportunity for us to come out big," he says.
